Solar Lantern helps Kamla Devi to keep the bugs away

Kamla Devi is a widow and lives on her own in a small hut in the village of Kanjra Ki Dhani in Rajasthan, India. She has two sons and two daughters, all of whom are married and live with their respective families. Kamla does not have any source of income. Her sons live nearby and allow her to store her food in their houses.

Kamla Devi is delighted to have a solar lantern thanks to the wonderful donation from Sculpt the Future Foundation. She is now more confident in the dark. Kamla sleeps on the floor and, prior to receiving the lantern, was always afraid that a snake or some other bug might bite her. Now she leaves the lantern on at night and sleeps peacefully.
