Ganga Bai saves her income with a Solar Lantern

Ganga lives with her sister-in-law Mangu and her two sons Amar and Tawar in Munj Ka Pura, a remote village in Rajasthan, India. Her husband works in the nearby town and visits them once a month.

Both the children are very keen to study, but Ganga cannot always provide them light to study by as the monthly income of the family is a meager 500 rupees (USD 10).

With the generous donation of a Solar Lantern from Laurie, Ganga can now save the 20% of her income she once spent on an oil lamp, and she can provide her children the light they need to study!
