Kalu can now enjoy his passion for handicrafts

Kalu with his goats

Kalu lives with his wife and two children Jagannath and Dariya in Munj Ka Pura a remote village bordering the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in India. Kalu’s main source of income is the three goats he has.

He sells milk in the village to make ends meet. Kalu always had a problem milking his goat because early in the morning it is always dark and this tiny village does not have electricity.

With the generous donation of a Solar Lantern by Daryl he can now milk the goats early in the morning and work in the fields during day time. Earlier there was nothing he could do after sunset but now he hopes to add to his income by making handicrafts.
