Solar lantern helps Dhaka and her family!

32-100_6894-mulchand-dhaka-1024x766
Dear Dena and Dale Brian,

Dhaka is one of the many residents of Thali Ki Dhani, a village near the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. Like the other families in this village, her home does not have electricity. She lives with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. Her son, Vinod, works under a contractor in Jaipur. She is very thankful for the wonderful gift of a solar lantern.

In addition to bringing light to her home, she can use it to milk her buffaloes early in the morning. The lantern can even charge mobile phones so it is very helpful to her son as he does not have to go to the nearby village to charge his device. Also, he no longer has to shell out Rs. 5 each time he needs to charge his phone.

Thank you Dena and Dale for supporting Dhaka, her family, and The Restoring Force!

Shiv Raj Singh and his family are free of toxic fumes

115-100_6977-Shiv raj Singh
Dear Lisa,

Shiv Raj Singh’s family had to rely on kerosene wick lamps because their village, Dadanpura, does not have electricity like several other villages in remote Rajasthan, India. The kerosene lamps are neither cost effective nor environment-friendly — the fumes from the kerosene lamps affect the eyes and lungs. The women in the family are the worst affected as they have to cook food under its light.

Now thanks to the wonderful gift of a solar lantern Shiv Raj Singh and his entire family can breathe easy. His wife can now cook dinner after sunset and his kids can study in the evenings. Thank you, Lisa, for your support!

Dear Laura,

Puranmal is delighted to have a solar lantern thanks to your generous donation. He works in Khadi Bal Mandir in Sivadaspura, a village is located around 30 kilometers from the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India.

Kahdi Bal is an institution that provides clothes to villagers at low cost. Sitaram can milk his buffalo early in the morning!

59-100_6921-SitaRam
Dear Sculpt the Future,

Sitaram lives with his wife and son in Thali Ki Dhani near the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. This village is not officially registered with the state and therefore does not have electricity. Also, the people were cheated by contractors who took the money and did not install the lights. There is even water scarcity in this area and the villagers are unable to use the fields.

Sitaram’s main source of income is the milk from the buffalo he owns. He sells this milk to the nearby shops and villagers. He and his family were very happy to have light in their homes for the first time thanks to Sculpt the Future Foundation. The main advantage of the lantern is that he can use it while milking the cows early in the morning and does not have to worry about carrying the kerosene lamps.

Thank you for giving Sitaram and his family a chance!

111-100_6973-Pankaj
Dear Sculpt the Future,

Pankaj and his family live in Thali Ki Dhani, near Jaipur, in Rajasthan, India. This village has no electricity and households typically use kerosene lamps when the sun sets. Pankaj is educated and understands the benefits of solar energy, but cannot afford one on his own.

Pankaj believes that with the help of The Restoring Force, families in Thali Ki Dhani will be able to socialize more and live more enjoyable lives because they will have more flexible schedules with solar lanterns. They are no longer forced to work constantly throughout the day because they can work under the light of the solar lamp after the sun goes down.

Pankaj is very appreciative of the solar lamp from The Restoring Force. Thank you, Sculpt the Future, for supporting this cause and the need for renewable energy around the world. Now, Pankaj and his family can save money that they would normally have spent on kerosene and can spend less time working during the day. Thank you, again, Sculpt the Future, for helping Pankaj and his family lead happier lives.
